BLKS Post Show Discussion Moderation

In November 2020, I led a post show discussion with BLKS playwright, Aziza Barnes, and Director Tonasia Jones of the Boston production at SpeakEasy Stage after our opening night performance. I was the Assistant Director and Casting Consultant on the show, and it was a pleasure to discuss Barnes’s work as a writer, themes in BLKS, the rehearsal process for bringing BLKS to life, and our hopes for audiences to take from the show.

National New Play Network Announces Collaboration Grant Recipients and Producers in Residence

NNPN Announces 2019-20 Program Awardees

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, announces its 2019-20 grant recipients, including the 2019 Smith Prize for Political Theatre, seven Producer Residencies, and eight Collaboration Fund awards that will support partnerships between multiple Member Theaters, playwrights, and other theater makers in various projects.

It's almost Allston Christmastime, and you know what that means-streets crowded with moving vans! Armies of ignorant motorists driving in circles, cutting people off, and making illegal turns because they can't follow their GPS. Sidewalks littered, literally, with mountains of broken and abandoned cheap Ikea furniture.
